For Sandro M Alvarez, the building has always been in his DNA. He loved to build models as a kid, finding a natural connection with handling mechanics and figuring out how things work. Model airplanes were a fun pastime in his childhood, and it came as a surprise to no one that his passion for aviation followed him into adulthood and became the foundation of his career. In 1987, he was accepted into George T. Baker Aviation School, where he studied avionics. He soon developed a strong interest in its associated technology, so he pursued a role in the IT department of a cargo airline. 

Sandro has spent the past 30 years building a career in IT, picking up an array of hardware and software certifications along the way. He’s a visionary who, once he’s gotten a clear idea of the big picture, gets straight to work understanding every gear that grinds. Look no further than his experience with Embry-Riddle Flight School, where he started as a team member and ascended the ranks to become IT, manager, overseeing 35 company offices worldwide. In a similar fashion, he moved on to a local IT firm that services Miami-based law offices. Before long, he became IT director at one of the city’s oldest law firms. 

The new millennium brought with it a new vision: In 2000, Sandro founded New Global Solutions, an IT solution provider. You might be sensing a theme in the paths of success that Sandro has followed, so you won’t be surprised to learn that after taking New Global Solutions to new heights, he merged with ReadyIT and formed Internos in 2013. He’s since served as our CEO for the past seven years. 

Building businesses and helping them rise isn’t Sandro’s only passion. He loves to travel, especially with his wife and two daughters. Together they’ve had many adventures in their RV, traveling to places like Texas, Canada, Niagara Falls and Maine. Spain is one of Sandro’s most frequent destinations, where he visits relatives in Oviedo Asturia. Immersed in the Spanish culture — where he lived for a period of time — he can indulge in his culinary favorites and enjoy some of the world’s best wine. 

When he’s not creating new business ventures, or visiting places both familiar and new, Sandro is a forum moderator for the prestigious Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Oh, and he still builds things in his downtime. Think: woodworking and home handyman projects. After all, building is what feeds his soul.
